Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CleanSweep ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the CleanSweep mobile application ("the App"). We are committed to transparency and to giving you control over your data.
1. Information We Collect
CleanSweep is designed to perform analysis and cleanup actions directly on your device. We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the service.
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Feedback and support requests. When you contact us for help or submit feedback, we may collect your email address and the content of your message.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and usage data. We may collect anonymous, aggregated information about how the App is used (such as which features are accessed, crash reports, and general performance data) to help us diagnose issues and improve the product. This data does not identify you personally.
- Advertising identifiers. If the App displays ads, we or our advertising partners may use your device's advertising identifier (such as Google Advertising ID) for ad delivery and frequency capping. No personal information (name, email, phone number) is linked to this identifier.
1.3 Content on Your Device
CleanSweep scans your device for photos, videos, large files, app cache data, and duplicate contacts so that it can present cleanup suggestions to you. All scanning and analysis happens locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or transmit your photos, videos, files, or contacts to our servers.
The Private Space feature stores your selected files in a protected area on your device. These files are never transmitted off your device, and we have no access to them.
2. How We Use Information
We use the limited information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the App's core functionality.
- To respond to your support inquiries and feedback.
- To analyze aggregated usage trends and fix bugs and crashes.
- To serve advertisements within the App (where applicable) and measure their effectiveness.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. We may engage third-party companies to perform services on our behalf, such as analytics, crash reporting, and advertising. These providers are contractually obligated to use data only for the purposes we specify.
- Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process (such as a court order or subpoena).
- Business transfers. If CleanSweep is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified before any such transfer occurs.
4. Advertising and Analytics
The App may use third-party advertising and analytics services, such as Google AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase. These services may collect and process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. You can learn more and manage your preferences at:
- Google Privacy & Terms
- Google Ad Settings
5. Data Retention and Security
We retain the limited information we collect only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. International Data Transfers
If you are located outside the country where our servers are based, your information may be transferred to and processed in a country that may have different data protection laws. We take steps to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable legal requirements and that your information remains protected.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy within the App or through other reasonable means. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
